Project 366 Update-Four months down!

Please excuse my tardiness on this.  I had balloon sinuplasty surgery on Wednesday (Operation Awkward Balloon) so I completely lost track of it being a new month!

Project 366 Update-Three months down!

Three months down, meaning we’re 1/4 through this year!  So far 2012 has been kicking 2011’s butt.  (Sorry 2011, but you know it’s true!)

Want!  We just need this and one of those chromatic typewriters and we’ll be the coolest kids on the block…typewriter-wise.

Scenes from my weekend: Mandy’s #5or25 Birthday Celebration!

One of my biffles Mandy turned 25 this Saturday, and we celebrated in style with a mixture of activities.

On the 5 side, we had: watching the Lorax (there was a 5 year old birthday party group there!) wandering the Disney store and the American Girl Store, and accidentally eating mostly sugar the entire day.

On the 25 side, we had: crepes at our favorite creperie, shopping at Charming Charlies, pretzel bun burgers at Clarkes followed by Forever Yogurt, and two shows at the Double Door and The Township.

I’m pretty sure we jam-packed the day with as much awesome per square inch as possible.  A perfect way to usher Mandy into the 25 club!

“Only hang around people that are positive and make you feel good. Anybody who doesn’t make you feel good kick them to the curb and the earlier you start in your life the better. The minute anybody makes you feel weird and non included or not supported, you know, either beat it or tell them to beat it.”

Lisa Frank looks exactly as I have always imagined. I hope this picture was taken in April of 1992, and that shortly thereafter Lisa was cryogenically frozen, and all subsequent newsletters have been distributed by her loyal following of highly trained dolphins. Scenes from my weekend: #5or25

3 shows and Disney on Ice pretty much made this the best. weekend. ever. We started the weekend with show hopping between the Bottom Lounge and The House of Blues to catch Super Happy Fun Club, Santah, The Scissors, State and Madison, and The Hush Sound.  The timing of the evening couldn’t have worked out any better, and we got to see several amazing sets!

Saturday started out with Disney on Ice.  Yes, we may have been the only adults there without children accompanying us.  Yes, it was absolutely amazing.  After 2 hours of nonstop princesses and glitter, we headed back to the Bottom Lounge for night two of The Hush Sound reunion shows.  I finally got to check out locals Empires, and was able to catch a full set from THS.  All in all, an action packed weekend spent with my biffles, doing what we love most.  Even if that makes us #5or25.

I brake for birds, I rock a lot of polka dots, I have touched glitter in the last 24 hours, […] and I find it fundamentally strange that you’re not a dessert person. That’s just weird, and it freaks me out. And I’m sorry I don’t talk like Murphy Brown, and I hate your pantsuit. I wish it had ribbons on it, or something to make it just slightly cuter.
